Every Christmas, my parents take me to Vail to have a good time.

Los Amigos

Every Christmas, my parents take me to the restaurant Los Amigos in Vail to have some food and watch the skiiers and boarders do their thing. Growing up in Oklahoma, our family knows good Mexican food, and Los Amigos is the best in Vail. Plus, the windows and porch face out to the ski slope, so you can get some good entertainment watching epic fail moments of the skiiers and boarders.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

After having a good meal and laughing your butt off at the skiiers and boarders, the best dessert place in Vail is the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

You can’t go wrong with Chocolate and it is not even a block away from Los Amigos.

I was able to actually eat here because my mom was visiting me and we stayed in Vail for the weekend… Which means normally, this pricey restaurant would be out of my spending field! However, the splurge was incredible, and I especially loved how most items on the menu are all natural or organic, free range and/or locally purchased.

Even better? Free matches! Hey, toothpicks are great, but those matches make you look so “valuable” and high class when people see them in your water closet!

I hear the brunch is divine, but I went here for dinner… You will look suave no matter when you decide to dine!

Rimini Gelato

When I drive from Aspen back down to Denver, I always splurge and spend a day skiing at Vail… For an afternoon kick I love stopping by Rimini Gelato… Soooo yummy and so many flavors to pick from!

They also have a beautiful espresso machine, which makes you feel gorgeous just looking at it!

Surely not a glamorous choice, but alas, all I can afford in Vail on my humble budget. Where else in Vail can you get get a possible case of food poisoning, compressed chicken parts and a DVD for later? No where else I suspect!

Every Thanksgiving my old girlfriend takes me skiing at Vail. Then we eat foods and drive home.
