New Orleans - Laissez les bons temps rouler
Laissez les bons temps rouler(let the good times roll). The good times will roll with this helpful guide to my favorite city.
St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square
No visit to New Orleans is complete without a tour of the city’s oldest outdoor museums, its historic cemeteries. Often called CITIES OF THE DEAD, these cemeteries are noted for their unique, aboveground tombs.
The St. Charles Streetcar is an ideal way to take a self guided tour of the Garden District.
Enjoy shopping, entertainment and New Orleans Cuisine. Located in the French Quarter just at the rivers edge.
This 87-year-old community theatre, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, had its inception back in 1916, when a group of amateur theatre-lovers began putting on plays in the drawing room of one of the members.
The Museum is an incomparable experience for all generations and not to be missed on any visit to New Orleans.
A city that takes joie de vivre to new levels, New Orleans naturally organizes its celebratory approach to life into some of the world’s most popular (and eclectic) festivals. Laissez les bons temps rouler (let the good times roll)

Established in 1986, Abita Brewing Company is proud to be the oldest craft brewery in the southeast and one of the oldest craft breweries in the United States.

Take a journey into the swamplands of Louisiana. Picture the moss hanging on gnarled cypress trees as you travel into one of the wildest and most pristine river swamps in America.
You must have the drink of choice. Flaming Dr. Pepper. Then enjoy dancing the night away to some great music.
The drink of choice is Neptune’s Monsoon. Be careful it’s pretty strong. You must then have the best hamburger and baked potato you ever tasted.
The drink of choice is the Hand Grenade. I would also recommend the Horny Gator and Tropical Itch.
The drink of choice is Pat O’Brien’s Hurricane. However, I would recommend the Cyclone or the Rainbow. Once you have your drink you should sit in the piano bar to sing your heart out.
Lagniappe – Something extra
Aside from having everyday words and expressions that aren’t used elsewhere in the States, New Orleanians throughout the city give meaning to and pronounce certain words their own way.
Start your day with the coffee and beignets. Make sure you don’t wear dark colors because you will be wearing powdered sugar all day.
It’s a down to earth local eatery, right to the waitresses who greet you with a “What can I get ya, Darlin’?”
Not your typical New Orleans restaurant—Jacques-Imo’s Cafe has become one of the hottest food tickets in town, known for its eclectic mix of Creole and Cajun specialties. Guests will be escorted through the frenzied kitchen on their way to the dining room, no doubt better educated on the inner workings of a New Orleans restaurant.
Large heaping portions of down-home style cooking so good, you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven. This is why it’s called “Soul Food”. The Fried pickles and Fried okra are the best. Make sure you order a side of ranch.
