Remember Old Nickelodeon?
I don't know how I will ever bring children into a world without green slime, moon boots and Mr. Tastee. Behold some of the fondest components of my early years.
This 1992 flop is often forgotten. But I remember it because I saw the guy who plays the principal hosting a tour at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. Talk about life after stardom!
Everyone had a crush on Ted.
TRIVIA: Donny Jeffcoat (who now goes by Don) was the older brother on the Wonder Years. He has since run a successful anti-dandruff campaign for Head & Shoulders, and testified in co-host, Omar Gooding’s 1995 gun-possession trial.
Everyone loved Doug. My favorite part was the songs.
Here’s some live-version of the Beets.
I don’t know about you, but this commercial totally convinced me!

I learned what sex was during an AIDS-awareness episode hosted by Linda Ellerbee.
Remember Donkeylips? And Ug? Remember when Ug used to actually look like a really old guy? When did he turn 25?

You can listen to this one with your eyes closed.
I have vivid memories of watching this when my babysitter fell asleep, then not being able to sleep all night.
This is one of my all-time favorite Nickelodeon moments: Marshall Darling trying to spice up his career choice for career day by appealing to our inherent attraction to metallic parachute pants.
Hosted by that rascal, Kurt Clog.
I adored this show. But the host doesn’t seem to be too thrilled with his gig…
This one is worth watching til the end.
