If I can't celebrate in Boston -sniffle- than I'm going to make the best of St. Patrick's Day in Harrisburg! And YOU, fellow irishman (or irish-for-the-day-man) can find almost all you need to know about the mid March holiday right here in this lil' ol' guide.
Beer Bread!
Harrisburg offers two major celebrations!
March 17th is, of course, St. Patrick’s Day proper. There will be plenty to see, drink, eat, drink, do and drink! BUT, March 17th 2009 is a Tuesday. Lame! As most employers don’t quite understand the need to be off boozin’…er…celebrating your heritage for the day (or furthermore, feel sympathy for the post celebration hangover) there is a SECOND day to truly kick up your heels. March 21st is the Harrisburg St. Patrick’s Day parade. Another full day of plenty to see, drink, eat, drink, do, and drink!
