Tips: Arrive early and dine at On Broadway’s Zen Cafe. In addition to sushi, they serve French- and Asian-influenced haute cuisine. Reservations are recommended. Admission to the nightclub is included with a $20/person dinner tab.

House of Blues San Diego

Chic 1930’s Art Deco club and restaurant showcases old school charm to a throng of 20-somethings.

Tips: Drink specials every night until 10:30pm. Thursdays are $3 Coronas, Kamakazis and Cape Cods. Fridays offer $4 wells and $5 Long Islands. Saturdays are martini nights with $5 specialty martinis and Grey Goose drinks.

Deco’s

Just consider this place the biggest drink and dance emporium in all of Pacific Beach.

Tips: Surprisingly, there is a no flip-flop rule on certain nights. Best to call ahead, just in case.

Typhoon Saloon

Sleek, stylish dance club and sushi bar is home to hip and in-the-know party crowd.

Tips: This club has a large guest list, which you can sign up for online. However, note that there’s a strict no-sneakers policy.

Aubergine

From cowboys to frat boys, everyone gets in line (dancing) here, the heart of San Diego’s country scene.
