Sometimes the internet may not suit you when you want to sell your car. There are times when having an in-person view of your ride may help with the sale. This is true especially if you have many custom components or if there is something unique about your vehicle. Combining a good sales location AND internet advertising can open up more opportunities than using one medium alone. Besides, many buyers like to kick the tires… Here’s some great leads and locations for selling your car in Denver.

School Sales?

From time to time on weekends and holidays, schools with large parking lots can put on swap-meets, car washes and whatnot for fundraising purposes. I’ve heard of a few schools that will allow the display of vehicles that are for sale (for a small  fee).

If you know someone in a PTO and are willing to write up a legal disclaimer for perspective sellers to sign (always a good idea) you can make some buckaroos for the school!

Dealerships on Broadway

With the volatile business of used car dealerships being so unpredictable, new sales lots pop up on Broadway (south off I-25) often. Take note of car lots that advertise buying your car or selling it for you.

"For Sale" at home:

In some cities and towns, you can be ticketed for leaving your car unattended with a “For Sale” sign on it. I know, it’s ridiculous and in this day and age where cops are using minor violations as a means to increase some city’s revenue, why take the chance? If you have a driveway, you should have no problem (other than some overzealous HOAs getting mouthy) with leaving a sign on your vehicle.

Remember, some car thieves look for those signs as an invitation to a vehicle that may not be locked, alarmed or immediately missed if parked far away.
