Port Jervis:
Port Jervis is a historic town that has a growing arts community and is also home to some great antique shops and historic points of interest. There are several galleries and seven antique shops on Front Street in downtown.

D&H Corridor Trail
The historic D&H canal connected the Delaware and Hudson rivers and was an important economic driver in the region beginning in the early 1800s.  The Minisink Valley Historical Society runs the Fort Decker Museum of History located at 125-133 West Main Street in Port Jervis and there is a 2-mile stretch of the canal towpath available for walking or biking.

Places to visit near Port Jervis

Highpoint State Park
Highpoint S.P. is only a few miles away and offers hiking/mtn.biking trails, swimming, and fishing.  In the winter they have exceptional cross-country skiing.  Don’t miss the great view from Highpoint Monument. 

Delaware Water Gap

The northern entrance to the park is about 15 miles away from Cedar Lakes.
