The Top Four Nightclubs in Scottsdale, and then Some!
Wonderful Scottsdale, Arizona is best known for its five-star resorts, golf courses and shopping. But, it also happens to be famous around the world for boasting one of the most attractive nightlife’s in the country. The clubs in Scottsdale are comparable easily to some of the best clubs found around the world. In fact, more famous DJ’s and bands perform nightly at the many high-end clubs in Scottsdale than just about anywhere else that you can go in the world. If you are looking to spend a hot night on the town with your friends enjoying one of finest places to go clubbing in the country—here are the top four nightclubs in Scottsdale, and then some!
Axis Radius
Celebrities and VIPs crowd the dance floor in the VIP room at Axis.
World renowned DJ, John Digweed, performs at Axis Radius nightclub in Scottsdale, AZ.
This club is the largest, most hip and most happening club in the state, and in the Southwest for that matter. Boasting two levels and an enormous VIP room—typically you will wait in line for an hour or more just to gain entrance. Then if you are dressed to impress and have the $20 entrance fee ($10 for girls) you may just get to take a peek inside. Once inside you will be greeted by amazingly beautiful girls that host the club.
The club features a main level—which is an enormous 3000+ square foot room that has a very long bar and raised ceilings, a large stage and some of the finest screens, lighting and sound equipment that you will ever see. The club is complimented by custom-designed interior decorations and statues, and even has lit-up sculptures that are colored with glowing gel. The VIP room is bar-none, and is frequently filled with the hottest celebrities and people that you will ever see.
Getting into the VIP room is quite another story however. You can sometimes get your hands on VIP passes, but those will run you a few hundred bucks; to book a table in the VIP room expect to shell out about $2000 for the night (drinks and host provided). Head upstairs and you will be in another dance room that always features a different theme than the downstairs area. Even the bathrooms in the place are amazingly decadent and refined.
Axis Radius frequently hosts some of the top performing national acts in the country—which cost a bundle to get tickets for as the club can only hold a few thousands patrons at a time. If you get hungry there is a NY-style pizza joint next to the club (Joe’s Pizza) that offers some of the best pizza in the state. Expect to spend big bucks here—drinks start at about $7 and up. There is ample parking nearby, but I recommend using a valet—which will run you about $10.
Suede
Suede’s decadent lounge offers relief to weary clubbers in Scottsdale.
Most people find themselves at Suede following an intense evening of clubbing. Suede is located just across the street from the large nightclub, Axis Radius, in South Scottsdale. Known to be a different sort of a nightlife establishment, Suede offers a quiet more comfortable atmosphere—where you can relax in a lounge-like, club environment and enjoy fine drinks and eats.
There is usually a DJ spinning records in this club on weekends, and their solid-wood flooring makes for great dance-stepping. The club features all leather, suede seating (pun intended) and a solid mahogany bar that wraps through the entire place. Drinks are pricey as this club is very high-end; expect to pay about $8-15 per drink, depending on what you order. Many people end up here as way to cool the night down before they head back to their respective residences.
You will frequently see celebrities of all sorts milling near the bar area around 1am on the weekends. If you are looking for great dancing, this is not place. If you are looking for ample seating, a spacious interior and great live club music—Suede will suit you just fine!
If you are looking to take the fiesta to the most popular Latin-themed nightclub in Scottsdale, then head to Dos Gringos—where you will be greeted by swarms of 20’s something clubbers all out to have a great time. Ample free parking is nearby in the new Old Town Parking garage. Dos Gringos is known for its amazingly authentic Mexican food and of course the great many drink specials and concoctions that they offer.

This is one of the very few Caribbean-themed clubs in the entire state. The whole place has been decorated to make it feel like you are in a tropical paradise. From the straw roof to the bamboo pillars that support it. The main attraction here, aside from their spicy gourmet food, is the multi-person drink bowls, yes bowls. You can order a huge bowl of mixed drinks for everybody—which are drank out of thick bamboo straws—yummy!

The proud owners of this tucked away nightclub bought an old Pizza Hut building and remodeled it entirely. The end result was a hip and happening fancy new club in South Scottsdale. Mickey's Hangover
Nightlife folks party the night away at Mickey’s.
This is one of the most popular nightclubs in Scottsdale and for good reasons too. Located right next to the Scottsdale Galleria on Drinkwater Blvd—Mickey’s frequently has a lengthy line extending out into its large parking lot. The club features several amenities and was just recently completely remodeled to make it even nicer. During the remodel they added a very large covered patio with couches, chairs, tables and high-tops for seating; about 300 people can sit on their patio.
The interior is awesome. A small bar compliments the front entrance and the place has two separate areas inside. The main area—which also features velvet couches and chairs for seating—is of decent size and features drop-down movie screens that are always playing something of interest. On a typical weekend night Mickey’s will have one of the hottest DJs in the state performing to large crowds of people.
The second area is the largest area and features several pool tables and about 20 booths that offer spacious seating. Their drinks are of some of the best prices in Scottsdale—and they always have all sorts of great drink specials. Aside from that their food is excellent as well, and the club is open for after-hours until 4am on the weekends. Many clubbers end up finishing their night on the town at this club as you can dance, eat, drink and be merry until 4am.
Clubbers dance the night away at Acme in Scottsdale.
Known for its neo-eccentric 20’s something crowd, Acme is still one of hottest clubs that night-lifers frequent in Scottsdale. Although it looks like it is nothing special from the picture, on the contrary, once inside you will be glad that you stopped on in. Although smaller inside than many of the other clubs nearby, but Acme has a different flavor to offer its patrons.
There are two levels, upstairs and downstairs. On your average weekend night, the club will host hot live bands upstairs—that you can choose to see if you pay a $5 admission fee. Otherwise the downstairs area is where it is all happening. Featuring two pool tables and dartboards, a long and very nice bar and a spacious patio—Acme has a little bit of everything.
In the main area there is always an up-and-coming DJ spinning records. They offer a decent sized, albeit smaller, dance floor which is typically filled with people dancing the night away and busting their best moves. Drinks are fairly decently priced at about $5 per drink. You will not have to pay an admission fee to get in either, which is another added bonus. There is ample parking nearby in the new Old Town Scottsdale parking garage.
