The Equestrian Park Grill is a quaint hideaway in a rustic setting, with equestrian themed decor providing a relaxed country atmosphere of elegant old world charm and character. The menu has something for everyone from old Southern favorites like Mississippi farm raised catfish, fried chicken, jumbo Louisiana shrimp, and frogs legs, to a selection of European favorites like Veal & Chicken Parmigiana (with the eggplant), Suckling Pig, The Chivito Sandwich from Uruguay, and the authentic Tapas from Spain. With the new "trend" towards tapas, many restaurants these days are adopting the notion of simply renaming their appetizer menu and calling it tapas! No wonder consumers are actually confused as to what really is a tapas menu. The answer is simple enough if you know what you are meant to be serving, the word and term tapas originates in Spain, where they have perfected the art of selecting bite size morsels of a variety of dishes and presenting a small selection as samples. So if you are presented with a so called tapas menu, that lists dishes in no particular grouping at an average price for a starter dish, then that is exactly what you are dealing with..... appetizers, not tapas. The Equestrian Park Grill features a small selection of authentic tapas found in most eateries in downtown Madrid, paired with a carafe of Sangria for 2. Buen provecho!
