I may have jobs and pay bills, but I am very much not part of the economy like many Americans are. I have no investments, unimpressive savings and I know jack sh-- about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, IRAs and 401Ks. Actually, I could not define any of those previous five at all. IRA? I don't even know what stands for. So, all this talk about "losing money" because of the poor economy? Well, my financial situation remains unchanged. The only way I could lose money is if my coins went down the couch cushions. But, have YOU been affected? Share your stories, your losses, your devastation.

I don’t understand what anyone in finance actually does, but then again, I have never had a full-time desk job, so there are entire fields irrelevant to me. What I DO know is that the World Financial Center had a rockin’ crochet coral reef exhibit.

That says volumes about me right there.

I’m like you Alicia…..no stories here. I saw an interview with a man on the street in New York and they asked him if he was worried and he said, "Well, I already don’t HAVE any money so….it’s not affecting my “savings” at all." He had a good point.
